ACTION: Call list for sponsors of HR 2404 (McGovern, demanding an exit strategy from the president) to now commit to no funding for troop escalation by co-sponsoring HR 3699 (Lee)

 

HR 3699:

 

    A BILL...To prohibit any increase in the number of members of the United States Armed Forces serving in Afghanistan...No funds appropriated or otherwise made available under any provision of law may be obligated or expended to increase the number of members of the United States Armed Forces serving in Afghanistan so that the number of members serving in Afghanistan exceeds the number so serving on the date of the enactment of this Act.

Hi, I'd like to leave a message for the Representative regarding a bill on the war in Afghanistan.  First I'd like to thank Rep.­­­­________ for cosponsoring Jim McGovern's H.R. 2404, which demands an exit strategy from Afghanistan.  President Obama clearly did not give an exit strategy in his speech at West Point.  Therefore, we think the representative should take the next step and commit to voting against funding to send any more troops to Afghanistan, by sponsoring Barbara Lee's H.R. 3699.  Please co-sponsor Congresswoman Lee's HR 3699.  Thank you.
