Is your congressman a war funder?

Wars do not keep going by themselves, a number of times each year congessmen vote to keep the funding going, which keeps the wars going.  The last major vote for funds to keep military operations in Afghanistan going was on Dec. 22, 2010.   The bill is HR 6523.  It was folded into a vote for the general Pentagon budget, and included $160 billion for continuing military operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.  ("Pentagon’s Christmas Present: Largest Military Budget Since World War II").  If your congress member is a YEA he or she voted for further war funding (those "did not vote" should be included in the YEA category, hiding is no excuse.)

Contact your congressman, tell him to stop voting to fund the wars.

 H R 6523
